Please…?

This sign was put up in our office building the other day. I like that even though it's starts out by saying please everything else about it is to the contrary; all caps, bolded type, bright orange paper, and an exclamation point. It doesn't say please it says do it or else.

New Sketchbooks

Magic Made Easy

A book I found at a thrift shop a little while ago. I really like the brush style and use of yellow. Illustrations by William Meyerriecks. Here's another magic book by these two, Spooky Magic.

A Special Offer sticker

A simple sticker, but how it was printed makes all the difference. The fuzziness of the lines makes it so much more interesting.

Halloween x Yo Gabba Gabba

Thinking about this upcoming Halloween I think it would be great if Obama dressed like DJ Lance Rock from Yo Gabba Gabba, I'm positive he could pull it off. I myself am considering this costume, since my little guy has discovered the show. On another note the Yo Gabba Gabba website is great, I especially like the freestyle mode.

The interrupting Kanye birthday card

Made this for a coworker's birthday. In case you missed the Kanye versus Taylor Swift story you can watch it here. By the way maybe there should be interrupting Kanye jokes modeled after the interrupting cow ones.

Illustration Friday: Strong

Could be used a couple of ways, with unemployment up resumes are getting pumped up; or unemployed men tend to work out more than those with jobs, see this article.

Another self-portrait, mimicking how playing cards are drawn.

Another Illustration Friday that I didn't have time for a couple weeks ago. The word was modify, which led me to reflect on the current health care debate.

From the back of the Music Man album cover, with some modification, obviously.
A couple weeks ago the topic for Illustration Friday was wrapped and I just didn't have time to submit something, but this is what I came up with today. I'm sure there were a lot mummies drawn, but I just couldn't resist.
